ABOUT THE PROJECT
SUMMARY
This Project has been a dream of the founder of EVA, USA. It will be situated in Baika, a rural community in Oti Region of Ghana. The Vision is to build a school to teach vocational skills, technical skills and Information Technology. This will benefit the youth who have completed state funded education at age 17, but have no means to continue due to poverty or location of the post secondary institution. It will be an opportunity for them to learn key employable skills. It will curb the rural urban migration, bring down crime rate, maintain family bond and promote culture.
CHALLENGES
After Junior High School, in Ghana, some youths are unable to pursue further because they have no means to afford. They are left without employable skills. This project/school will teach not only Vocational and Technical skills but also info Tech. There are no such schools in Oti Region. Graduating from the school will equip them with the necessary skills to employ themselves and stop migrating to urban centers for non- existing jobs.
SOLUTIONS
With reference to the above challenges, this school will provide them with solutions. It will come with boarding facilities, feeding and input that will enable them learn and perfect their skills.
PERCEIVED OUTCOME
Employable skills acquire will earn the youth some income to support their families and themselves. The chain endemic poverty will be broken and the rural youth will regain their self esteem and dignity, live happily and maintain ever eroding Ghanaian culture
